Do you have a love story in your wardrobe?

It is going to sound naff but it is the first jacket that I made.  It is the transition between t-shirts, which is what I started off doing and my first piece of real clothing. It is a canvas work wear jacket and it is special.

Question: What’s one tip you live by to extend the life of your clothes?

Find local dress maker or your local seamstress and get things repaired. When things tear or rip or get holes, it is really simple to fix them and often you’ll get twice as long out of it.

Question: What’s your rule when buying clothes for yourself?

 It changes with age and what you are looking for. At the moment it is “one in, one out” and neutral stuff that is going to work with everything.

Research on the ‘environmental foot print’ of cotton garments shows that about half of total energy use, and up to 50% of other environmental impacts, comes down to how much we actually consume and how much we wash and wear our garments . So, pull out those washing lines!
